🎮 The International Olympic Committee is proposing the creation of Olympic Esports Games. Members will vote on the proposal at the IOC session to be held during the Olympic Games Paris 2024.

💻 Following the launch of the Olympic AI Agenda, a new AI-powered monitoring service will protect athletes and officials from online abuse at the Olympic and Paralympic Games Paris 2024. 

⛳ T-Mobile has partnered with the PGA to bring 5G technology to the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship. This will cover real-time player data and tracking, enhanced views of holes, AR fan experiences and optimized event operations.

⚽ The TRACAB SAOT system has been officially certified by FIFA. It utilizes advanced tracking camera tech and ML algorithms to automatically detect offside situations with a 360 view.

🏏 The ICC launched - ICC Immersive, a new app developed in collaboration with Quidich, in which Apple Vision Pro users will be virtually transported onto the cricket pitch, surrounded by the crowd and interactive data overlays & visualizations. (more on our pod below)

🎮 Malta-based Eden Esports, in partnership with h8r.gg, will debut new broadcasting solutions for a female Counter-Strike 2 event, enabling broadcasts without an on-site crew.

🚴 After GPS Sports watches, COROS brings COROS DURA- new solar-powered GPS bike computer- which will support 120 hours of ride time with full GPS on a single charge, lightning-fast upload speeds and solar panels on the computer that’ll add up to two hours of ride time for every hour of direct sun exposure.

🏈 The Canadian Football League, TSN, and Genius Sports will present augmented live streams during regular season and postseason games, and the 111th Grey Cup. Along with new statistics & insights come other features - players will be identified by name and position, their speeds will be measured, the quarterback's time to throw will be tracked and more.

🤝 Liberty Global will take a 65% stake (for an undisclosed amount) in the Formula E electric car racing world championship after buying out Warner Bros Discovery.

💰 Myocene, a Liège, Belgium-based sports-tech startup developing a unique device to measure muscle fatigue, raised €3 million in funding. 

💰 LunchTable, focused on fan engagement, raised $2.4 million in seed funding led by Cleveland’s JumpStart Ventures

💰 US-based AnyCreek, a marketplace to book outdoor guided experiences like fishing and hunting, secured $1.8 million in seed funding.

💰 Gracia AI, US based startup creating photorealistic volumetric videos for Spatial Computing, raised $1.2 million in seed funding.

💰 Singapore based Speediance, a connected home fitness solution, secured Pre-A funding raising over $1 million.

💰 Loop Golf, the online booking platform for golfers raised a $1 million seed funding round.

💰 TOCA Football, tech-enabled soccer experiences company, introduced World Cup veteran, MLS Cup-winning superstar Kellyn Acosta, as the newest stakeholder (undisclosed amount).

🤝 US based Satisfi Labs, an AI-powered Conversational Experience Platform, acquired Indian startup Factoreal, an omnichannel marketing automation platform, for an undisclosed amount. (Check them out on our pod)

🤝 Naomi Osaka’s media company, Hana Kuma, gets an undisclosed investment from The Players Fund.
