🏀 Euroleague Basketball FanXP Innovation Program, announced the selection of 16 startups that will compete in the 2024 EB FanXP online qualifier on July 10 to secure a spot at SPORTBIZ EUROPE. 

👟 Nike and Hyperice unveiled new tech-enabled boots and a vest designed to boost athlete warm-up and recovery on the go, ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics. 

💪🏽 Nix Biosensors launched a new app ‘Nix Pro’, designed for group hydration monitoring of sports teams, labor groups, and tactical organizations.

⚽ FIFAe World Cup to make its return after the EA split, with national teams competing in the vehicle football game Rocket League. This will be the official FIFA esports tournament for the foreseeable future. 

🎮 FIFAe to also launch the FIFAe World Cup of Football Manager, in partnership with British game developer Sports Interactive. 

🎦 X to produce more sports docuseries for fans, and has started conversations with sports leagues about the same, because numbers showed sports being the #1 topic of conversation on the platform. 

🎙️ Ahead of the 2024 Paris Olympics, NBC announced that an AI version of sportscaster Al Michaels will deliver personalized recaps, to complement their traditional coverage.  

🕶️ The Atlanta Hawks, State Farm Arena and Quintar, announced a multi-year partnership to create immersive XR experiences and functional utilities for fans visiting the venue in Atlanta.

Money Talks:

💰 Ixia Capital launched a new $20 million VC fund, to focus on high-growth companies across gaming and esports especially in India, Africa, and UAE. 

💰 Indian sports broadcasting tech startup, Quidich Innovation Labs, raised an undisclosed amount in a Series A funding round led by Centre Court Capital. (check them out on our pod)

💰 TMRW Sports, closed a Series A investment round of an undisclosed amount, co-led by Dynasty Equity and Connect Ventures. 

💰 The Picklr, North America's fastest-growing indoor pickleball franchise, closed a Series B funding round led by Pickleball Inc, at a valuation of $59 million. 

💰 Unrivaled Sports, a leader in recreational sports experiences, made a strategic investment of an undisclosed amount, in the indoor action sports center, SNÖBAHN.
