Broadcast Innovation at Paris 2024 Games
The Paris Olympics 2024, an important event for any sports fan, is right around the corner. This event provides the perfect stage to debut groundbreaking innovations in SportsTech.
Since 2017, Intel has been a Worldwide Olympic Partner, collaborating with the International Olympic Committee (IOC) to transform the games with new levels of interaction, connectivity, and fan experiences. Some of their more notable innovations include drone solutions back in the 2018 Winter games in Pyeong Chang while 3DAT (3D Athlete Tracking), 2020Beat, Intel® True View and the Tokyo 2020 5G Project were all at the 2020 Tokyo Games.
This year, the games will see some pretty major innovations in broadcast technology. For eg, Paris 2024 will be the first edition of the Olympics to utilize Intel Xeon processors to showcase an end-to-end, low-latency 8K broadcasting experience transmitted over the open internet for every event at the Olympic and Paralympic games.
Check out our article for more on that and other broadcast innovation you can expect to see at the Paris games.
