We are heading into the final stage of the PEAK Startup World Cup, and tomorrow the shortlisted startups pitch live on the global stage.

SportsTechX is hosting the Global Qualifier Finals in partnership with PEAK, bringing together early-stage SportsTech founders, investors, and operators from across performance, fan engagement, and the business of sport.

Global Qualifier Finals:

• Format: Virtual live pitch competition hosted by SportsTechX

• When: TOMORROW | 3pm CET | Thursday 29 January

• Pitch format: 3-minute pitch followed by 3-minute Q&A

MEET THE JUDGES:

The finalists will be evaluated by senior leaders operating at the intersection of sport, capital, and innovation.

• Rebecca Hopkins, CEO, The STA Group

• Matt Best, Lead Commercial Strategy, Innovation and Operations, FIFA

Finalists snapshot:

After reviewing applications from across Europe, Asia, Africa, and Oceania, we have shortlisted 9 startups building in three core categories:

• For Athletes: performance, training, and recovery technologies

• For Fans: fan engagement, content, streaming, ticketing, fantasy, and betting

• For Executives: venues, management, and sports organisations

Each finalist will pitch live, field questions from the judges, and compete for progression to the PEAK Finals.

What is at stake:

• Category winners progress to the PEAK Startup World Cup Finals.

• Finalists gain exposure to investors, accelerators, and industry operators.

• 🏆 Global Winner receives $10,000+ cash prize, Runners-up get booths for PEAK 2027

If you are actively raising a funding round, you can now Verify Your Company on the SportsTechX Intelligence Hub and mark yourself as Actively Fundraising.

You can also upload your pitch deck and funding round details, making it easier for investors to assess and reach out directly.

With over 8,000 companies on the Intelligence Hub, this is how you stand out:

1. Log in/ Sign Up to the SportsTechX Intelligence Hub

2. Go to the Companies section on the left panel and search for your company name in the search bar.

   

3. Click on your company:

   • On the right-hand side of the page, scroll to the bottom and select Get this company verified under Company Actions.

   • In the pop up form, complete or update your company details as needed.

   • Open the Claim tab to verify your company.

   • Upload your pitch deck and add your current funding round details.

   • Mark your company as Actively Fundraising.

   

4. If your company does not appear in the database:

   • Select Request to Add Company button from the Companies section.

   • Submit your company details.

   • Once the company page is live, follow the steps above to verify and mark yourself as actively fundraising.

     

Verified and actively fundraising companies are easier for investors to filter, review, and contact directly through the platform.
