Teamworks, the Operating System for Sports, Arrives in Germany
Born in Durham, North Carolina, Teamworks, has recently launched operations in Germany. The best in class software solution drives the operations of 6,000+ sports organizations worldwide, including 85% of the English Premier League, 91% of the NFL and 83% of the NBA.

The NBA will use a state-of-the-art full video LED court, developed by ASB GlassFloor (who were on our pod), for the NBA All-Star weekend in Indianapolis this year. Expect replays, stats, and animations to be displayed on the floor itself
The Esports World Cup Foundation, has announced the ‘EWC Club Program’ to “promote sustainability for multidisciplinary esports clubs”. 28 teams will be selected, incl. 6 via open application, to receive an “annual ‘six-figure payout”. Criteria is still unclear but Applications are open now.
Real Madrid FC announced a global technology sponsorship agreement with HP Inc.
Apart from putting the HP logo on the team’s sleeve, the first to do so, the collaboration aims to elevate fan experience at the new Santiago Bernabeu complex and beyond, including in-person experiences, gaming and club operations. The two companies will also co-create programs that address societal issues, including closing the digital divide and promoting a more inclusive community.
The PGA Tour has joined the NBA and MLB in launching spatial computing apps for Apple Vision Pro to provide an immersive sports experience. If you have ~$3.5k to spare on the headset, you could soon be watching a game like this guy or this guy.

Sports VR and Gaming specialist, StatusPro, secured $20 million in Series A funding led by Google Ventures.
San Francisco based Speech Technology company (who just provided multilingual AI dubbing and translation at the 2024 Australian Open), CAMB.AI, raised a $4 million seed round led by Courtside Ventures (who have been on our pod).
California based Sports data and analytics solutions, ALT Sports Data, closed a $2.5 million funding Round.
US based media streaming platform for IoT devices, ActionStreamer, raised $2.4 million in Series A funding, led by JumpStart Ventures.
Sportsbook trading supplier, GamePLAI, received $1.9 million in funding from betting industry veterans.
Indian Sports Tech startup, SportVot, raised $1.1 million in Series A funding led by Omidyar Network India.
Canadian next gen fantasy sports company, GameOn, has received grant funding of 59 million $GAME tokens (~$460k) from Sportsology.
Minute Media raised an undisclosed new funding round, in the “tens of millions”, at a valuation crossing $1 billion.
The sustainable performance wear brand, Reflo GBP, raised £1 million in a seed round led by Harry Kane, who also became the brand ambassador.
US based Playfly Sports has acquired London based Evolution Sports, for an undisclosed amount to establish an international office.
A Seattle startup that sells point-of-sale software to sports stadiums and entertainment venues, CHEQ, was acquired by Cantaloupe for an undisclosed amount.
